CLTR 2504 - Modern German Film and Literature |
Introduces contemporary issues in German culture. Studies the importance of the Faust legend. Considers major novels. Also considers stories and poems by Böll, Grass, Mann, and Brecht as adapted by a new generation of filmmakers: Fassbinder, Schlondorff, Sanders-Brahms, and Wenders. Conducted in English. Prereq. (a) ENGL 1111 or ENGL 1102 and (b) junior or senior standing.
