ARCH 3364 - Architecture and Planning in Twenty-First-Century China
Offers real-world insight into the fastest-growing urbanization process in the world. Offers students an opportunity to learn about the physical history of Chinese cities, especially Shanghai, Beijing, and Hangzhou. Explores the differences in scale of both contemporary and historic urban fabric, building types, and development types. Students are encouraged to produce case studies comparing and contrasting these elements. Prereq. Permission of department; architecture students only.
