COMM 1101 - Introduction to Communication Studies
Surveys the field of communication studies. Introduces major areas of study in the field, including organizational communication, media effects, mass communication, rhetoric, health communication, social media, and intercultural communication. Covers major theories and methodological approaches in communication studies, such as how humans communicate interpersonally, the quantitative impact of media on behavior, and how to engage in persuasive communication.
