ENTR 3330 - Lean Design and Development for Entrepreneurs
Studies how to rapidly create new products and services. Starting with an introduction to new product and service design and the innovation life cycle, the course applies the management concept of lean, agile development to concept creation, customer research, prototype development, and market validation. Offers students an opportunity to apply these skills to their own new product or service ideas and develop prototypes during the semester. In addition, the course explores cost-effective approaches for finding and managing third-party suppliers for design, engineering, and early stage production and delivery. Students are assessed not only for the quality of their ideas and project execution but also for their ability to work in teams and communicate results. Prereq. ENTR 2301 or ENTR 2303.
