SOCL 3406 - Class, Crime, and the Legal System
Presents major sociological theories of crime and of the functioning of the criminal justice system in the United States. Examines statistical data and research on crime and justice. Highlights influence of class, race, and gender in the production of crime and in outcomes of the justice system. Prereq. SOCL 1101 and two 2000-level sociology courses.
